You’re busy, I’m busy, we’re all busy! But I can help you with your work so that you can focus on the other things that keep your business, church, or organization moving forward…and maybe help you buy back a few hours here and there for your family.

Below are just a few of the ways I’m able to help your organization. If you need something not listed below, contact me and we’ll see what we can make happen. Churches that need to outsource weekly bulletin creation, let me know. Get in touch with me at daniel@sdanielsmith.com and we’ll see what we can do!

(NOTE: I have limited spots available for new clients. Write me soon before they fill up!)

Newsletter Articles:

Keeping up your newsletter, especially as a small to medium organization, is difficult. I know…I have one too. On top of all the other things you have to do to keep your business or non-profit on the tracks, you also have to send out a newsletter to your supporters? Trust me, I get it. And I can help. I can write 250 word articles for your newsletter. Most organizations can keep their subscribers up to date with a 750 word monthly e-newsletter. I can either supplement your own efforts by writing one or two of your sections or write your entire edition.

Example: We talk (in person, via email, Zoom, etc) once a month, where you inform me of major events and updates for your organization. I take that information and create one or more articles for your newsletter. Then I send those back to you with the invoice. I allow for two revisions with each article.

Newsletter Curating:

If you’ve done a newsletter for long enough, you know that curating one can be a bit of a process. If you’re looking to outsource the whole thing, I can do that as well. From planning, to relevant interviews with staff, to writing and publishing, I’ll make sure your newsletter looks good before you hit “send.”

Example: Much like the above scenario, except that I create the entire newsletter for you. I can do this in your email client or I can send you the newsletter in a different software client. Your choice. I can include photos, contact information, links to additional blog articles from your website, etc. We’ll work together to find what works best for your organization.

Press Release Writing

There are two things every nonfiction writer needs to know how to do: 1 – Find the story and, 2 – Write tight. No wasted words on the way to that story. If you’re looking for someone to help you craft your press release and provide you with copy you can send immediately, look no further. I can do quick turnaround as well, so if you’re needing this out the door fast, I’m your guy. Special Note: Rates do not include sending out the finished press release to media outlets.

Example: Your organization has a huge event coming up and you want to get the word out about it. We’ll get on a Zoom/Skype call and talk through everything about the event, who’s headlining it, any special guests, and then the location/date/time data. I’ll write approximately 500-word press release for you and send it to your point of contact. I can also submit them directly to media outlets.

Blog Posts / Website Articles

Like a newsletter, your organization’s blog needs to be updated frequently enough to provide staff and clients with information about the organization. Whether you need a blog post about an upcoming event or a website page written about a new product or service, I can help you with your website needs.

Much like newsletter articles, we’ll talk via email or Zoom/Skype so I can get a good understanding of what your organization needs in a blog post. We can plan out an entire series of posts as well. We’ll do initial planning in the first call and then “meet” periodically to update the plan.

Ghostwriting

You’re busy running your church, business, or organization, but you’ve got a great idea for and article or book. I can write that for you. This frees you up to continue running your organization.

Example: We’ll have an initial planning meeting to go over your thoughts and any outline or drafts you have. Then I’ll draw up a more detailed chapter (or section for articles) outline. Once you approve that, I’ll get to work!
